2024-2025 Academic Year

Welcome to our 4th year in operation! In July Minori took over as CEO-elect as the original PILTers (Brayden, Camila, and Kiara) have now graduated high school and are moving on to college. This year, Minori and her team (Anya, Arturo, Aya, Elsa, Genesis, Lana, Nicolo, and Vivienne) will continue to do their part in accomplishing their mission to end homelessness. The new generation's focus for this year is to get our schools and communities aware and involved, and to encourage students around San Diego County to help their neighbors experiencing homelessness. We plan to do community fundraisers and school-wide projects. We will collaborate with PATH San Diego, StandUp for Kids, YMCA's TAY services and YMCA's HOY program, as well as schools in San Diego to support our community. The 2024--2025 academic school year will be a big change from last year, with PILTers off to college and members settling into high school, but with the challenges come the new opportunities to find engaging, innovative ways to raise awareness and to encourage our peers and friends to get involved. After all, everyone has the right to have a place to call home.
